Never forget your 'Goldilocks' settings

Every driver knows the magic moment when a setup just clicks — when grip, balance, and confidence all line up. That “Goldilocks” zone is easy to feel but hard to remember — especially across changing track temps, surfaces, and setups.

Talking to some of our power users, we noticed a common theme: many of you keep notebooks, voice memos, or phone photos of your “hot” setups. We love that energy — so we’ve been working to bake those workflows directly into ThrottlePass.

TL;DR on updates:

  • Tire data: custom widths and hot pressures
  • Suspension: support for all types (non-adjustable → 4-way) and “clicks” of adjustment
  • Alignment: camber and toe settings
  • Custom performance data: HP, TQ, and weight
  • Change logs: full transparency in lap details → users may now fully edit existing laps (with exception of the lap time and vehicle itself)
  • Driver Rating: now factors in your custom performance data

Tires, suspension, and alignment

Users can now set custom widths, pressures, alignment, and suspension (clicks) settings in both their Garage vehicle configurations as well as per-lap configurations.

Pressures, alignment, and suspension can be configured per axle or per corner.

Custom performance data

Until now, the Driver Rating algorithm relied on smart estimates based on ECU tunes, forced induction, or engine swaps. With this update, you can directly input your car’s actual HP, TQ, and weight, letting the algorithm reflect your real performance potential.

We’ve also introduced visible change logs for every public lap. Any time you adjust performance, alignment, or tire data, that history is recorded and viewable to other users — ensuring fairness, transparency, and trust.

(Private laps remain private and are excluded from Driver Rating calculations.)

What to do if you have existing laps?

If you’ve already logged laps with cars that have power modifications, we recommend editing those laps to include your custom HP, TQ, and weight values. Once updated, your Driver Rating will automatically recalculate.

Keep in mind that lap-specific vehicle configurations are independent of your Garage — changes made in laps won’t affect your saved Garage setups. However, you can update your Garage configurations so that your new defaults are automatically preloaded into future laps.

Why it matters

ThrottlePass is about helping drivers grow faster and smarter. Whether you’re chasing consistency across tire sets, dialing in rebound clicks, or comparing camber setups between events, these tools make it easier to see what’s working — and keep that “just right” setup within reach.
